in the vineyard:
Own vineyards around Ivailovgrad, at the outskirts of the Eastern Rhodope mountains in southern Bulgaria. The Mediterranean with its ‘white wind’ is only 70 km to the south with unique effect on the grapes’ aromatics. The area is hilly, with cinnamon-forest soils; the vineyards are entirely own plantations, about 20 years old.

Grapes are entirely hand-picked; fermentation is in stainless steel tanks.
In The Glass:
Three grape varieties combine to a harmonious whole: Cabernet Sauvignon for tannin backbone and body; Merlot for velvet smoothness, and the indigenous Rubin for earthy flavors and piquancy. A superb blend that offers an explosion of cassis, ripe cherries, coffee and dark chocolate.
